Waking up is the hardest part. An update on the awakening of the charity benefit LAN party and how to eat healthy and play video games.
Two comments on the subject of regaining health. Firstly, we are in contact with the Shine Centre with regards to the 200-person LAN party local charity benefit. Secondly, a little listing on how to hold a healthy diet during a LAN party.
There are many foods that are organic, high in energy and won’t make you crash, go hyper nor leave bad tastes in your mouth. This past weekend, Davin and I decided to try out different LAN party snacks that were healthy. This means, in place of the energy drinks and candy bars we usually consume, our drinks of choice were water, orange juice, cocoa and tea while our snack foods were a variety of textured finger-food vegetables, fruit and dark chocolate. Among others vague, we decided to try out at least one new way of consuming junk food.
There is a list of yet uncreated sugar-high snack foods that SNP privately tracks. In the spirit of LAN party food, for there is a separate culture in this topic, Davin and I decided to try our once unimaginable “Bawlsicles.” The recipe, after several modifications, turned from popsicles made from differing layers of energy drink flavours to the simpler ice cubes frozen from guarana beverages. Thus “Cafficubes” were created and we posted a video of them on my personal blog, Jay Daily.com:
It was a fantastic weekend us students had, to take a break from our courses and their respective summative assessments. Exam time is over and we continue to plot out the charity benefit in the peace of the aftermath which is our everyday school. I’m looking forward and I’ll be sure to update once a week as always. Good night and have a good semester high schoolers!
